Marion Wood, chairperson

Marion has a long involvement in the not-for-profit sector. Her focus is on making organic food more accessible to people in Aotearoa New Zealand, and developing a successful ethical business paradigm.

Mike Palmers

Mike is a qualified horticulturalist who has made organics a core value in his landscaping and garden services business. He is a former district councillor, was an inaugural board member of Organics Aotearoa New Zealand, and has also has served on the Bio Gro board.

Jenny Lux

Jenny is passionate about improving soil health, organic production methods, and rapidly reducing carbon emissions in the near future. She runs an organic market garden in Rotorua with her husband

Kaitlyn Lamb

Kaitlyn is passionate about localised food systems, composting and urban farming. She was a leader of Forest & Bird Youth Rotorua and is studying Geography and French at the University of Canterbury. .

Barbara Collis

Barbara was raised within the farming community and later practised law. Her goal is to use her experience and legal expertise on National Council to support the growth and development of Soil & Health.. 

Charles Hyland

Charles is a soil scientist and biogeochemist who moved to NZ in 2013 after working at Cornell University in the USA as a scientist for over ten years.  Organic agriculture has always been central to his work and worldview.
