The Soil & Health Association was formed in 1941 and is among the world’s first organisations dedicated to organic agriculture and healthy living. In New Zealand, the Soil & Health Association is at the backbone of the now thriving organic sector.

The motto of the Association is, “Healthy Soil, Healthy Food, Healthy People”

Since 1941 the Soil & Health Association has actively promoted organic production, educated people about living organic & sustainable lifestyles and campaigned on a range of issues, including improving food production, reducing pesticide use, increasing your options for health care and keeping New Zealand GE-free.

We rely on the generosity of the public to continue campaigning to create an Organic New Zealand.
